Position: Power Electrician

Location: Zambia

Job Summary:
The Power Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power systems and industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical power systems and equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns.
• Work on motors, switchgear, control panels, cables, transformers, and related equipment.
• Conduct electrical inspections and testing.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with safety and technical standards.
• Respond promptly to electrical equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other electrical safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant trade certificate/diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
• Appropriate electrical certification/licensing for industrial work in Zambia.
• Previous industrial or plant electrical experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of electrical safety procedures.
• Ability to work shifts and respond to emergencies when required.
