About the Role – Planner Rotable Jobs in Solwezi The primary purpose of this full-time position is to plan, coordinate, and continuously improve the lifecycle management of rotable and repairable components for the Process Plant.

The role ensures that the right components are available at the right time, in optimal condition and cost, supporting maintenance, shutdowns, and reliability initiatives. As a Planner, Rotable, you will be responsible for developing and communicating component plans aligned with maintenance strategies and schedules.

You will translate forecasts into actionable plans involving inspection, repair, procurement, and delivery while monitoring stock levels and repair cycles to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain rotable component plans aligned with maintenance strategies and shutdown schedules.

Manage component lifecycle using CMMS and warehouse systems, including tagging, serialization, and repair tracking. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely inspection, repair, and availability of components.

Expedite repairs and material requirements, escalating delays and providing status updates. Verify specifications, repair scopes, and vendor quotations to ensure compliance with OEM and safety standards.

Support QA/QC inspections of repaired components to ensure quality and documentation completeness. Track vendor performance, warranty claims, repair turnaround, and costs, recommending improvements.

Prepare regular reports on component status, repair costs, shortages, and improvement actions. Analyze usage and failure trends to identify cost reduction and reliability improvement opportunities.

Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and reliability reviews for component failures. Manage disposal of uneconomical-to-repair components following site procedures and approvals.

Support shutdown readiness by confirming component availability and staging. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and governance standards.

Promote safe work practices, correct handling, and preservation of rotable items. Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 school certificate or equivalent.

Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain, or related technical trade. Certified qualifications by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) are required.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in rotable planning, maintenance planning, materials coordination, or component repair management. Experience in mining, processing plants, heavy industry, or large-scale maintenance environments is advantageous.

Working knowledge of rotable management, serialization, warehouse processes, and maintenance planning principles. Competent in CMMS or ERP systems such as Pronto or SAP, including inventory and repair tracking.

Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with Microsoft Project or Power BI is a plus. Understanding of reliability principles, Root Cause Analysis, and OEM repair standards is beneficial.
