Employment Information

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Workshop Technician / Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and service machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
  • Ensure workshop operations run smoothly and safely
  • Manage workshop housekeeping, tools, and equipment
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and report on repairs
  • Maintain accurate records and job cards
  • Order workshop parts, tools, and consumables when required
  • Prepare and manage quotations for repairs and maintenance work
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding parts and pricing
  • Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when required
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous workshop and maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Computer literate with the ability to use workshop systems, email, quotations, and basic reporting tools
  • Ability to run and manage a workshop effectively
  • Experience in ordering parts and preparing quotations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, respectful, and professional at all times
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license will be advantageous
