The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conduct theoretical and practical security training;
- Training administration including accurate record keeping;
- Conducting of SASSETA, PSIRA and in-house training programs;
- Encourage a strong sense of discipline amongst BPC Security Officers;
- Ensure training interventions as required by legislation and the relevant control bodies;
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
- Registered Grade A PSIRA Instructor;
- SASSETA registered assessor and moderator;
- PFTC registered firearm instructor for business purposes - Handgun, Rifle and Shotgun;
- Registered National Key Point instructor;
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a security training department;
- Ability to work as a team;
- Must be able to work weekends when required;
- Residence close to the training centre would be advantageous;
- Must be prepared to travel as and when required;
- Own Vehicle, Driver’s License and PDP;
- Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
