SECURITY GUARD

Job Purpose

To protect guests, staff, premises, property and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor access to the premises and control entry and exit.
• Verify visitors, staff and authorised persons.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
• Protect company property, equipment and guest belongings.
• Maintain security and occurrence-book records.
• Report suspicious activities, incidents and security risks immediately.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.
• Assist guests and staff in a professional and respectful manner.
• Enforce security procedures without compromising customer service.
• Monitor deliveries and movement of goods where required.
• Ensure gates, doors and restricted areas are properly secured.
• Cooperate with police, emergency services and management when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert throughout duty periods.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum secondary education.
• Previous security experience is an advantage.
• Security training/certification is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts.
