Position Overview – Assistant Manager Jobs in Ndola The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s second largest portfolio within the Ndola branch. This position requires a strategic leader who can balance portfolio stewardship with aggressive growth targets.

The role blends commercial planning, client retention, and team leadership to ensure the branch meets its revenue and market share objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the Ndola branch commercial plan to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals.

Maintain portfolio retention, manage risk, and uphold high service standards for existing clients. Lead sales and marketing initiatives to generate qualified leads and increase cross-selling and up-selling across corporate, SME, and retail sectors.

Establish and maintain strategic relationships with insurers and partners, negotiating terms with underwriting and legal teams. Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.

Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, and key performance indicators, providing regular performance reports to senior management. Recruit, mentor, and manage the Ndola branch team, enforcing sales processes, pricing controls, and compliance standards.

Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to adapt branch strategy accordingly. Required Skills and Experience Current residence in Ndola is mandatory.

Between 4 to 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within insurance broking, insurance carriers, or financial services, including at least 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role. Demonstrated success in acquiring and managing large corporate clients while consistently meeting performance targets.

Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capabilities, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in marketing strategies and CRM tools, with solid Microsoft Office skills.

A degree in Insurance & Pensions Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline; an MBA or professional qualification is a plus. Membership or affiliation with relevant insurance or industry associations is preferred.
