Key Responsibilities for Assistant Manager Jobs in Kitwe Develop and execute the Kitwe branch commercial plan to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets for the company’s second largest portfolio. Maintain portfolio retention, profitability, and risk management while upholding exceptional service standards.
Lead sales and marketing initiatives to generate qualified leads and increase cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across corporate, SME, and retail segments. Establish and manage strategic relationships with insurers and partners; negotiate terms with underwriting and legal teams.
Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns and oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting through to deal closure. Monitor sales pipeline, forecasts, and key performance indicators; provide regular performance reports to senior management.
Recruit, mentor, and lead the branch team, ensuring compliance with sales processes, pricing policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to guide branch strategy.
Required Skills and Experience Current residence in Kitwe is mandatory. Between 4 and 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within insurance broking, insurance carriers, or financial services, including at least 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
Proven success in acquiring and managing large corporate clients and consistently meeting business targets. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, stakeholder management, and analytical abilities.
Practical experience with marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. A degree in Insurance & Pensions Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
An MBA or relevant professional qualification is advantageous. Membership or affiliation with recognized insurance or industry associations is preferred.
