Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Repairs
- Inspect, maintain, and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults using meters, testers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and control systems.
Installation & Commissioning
- Install new electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with ECG regulations and company standards.
- Carry out electrical wiring for new systems, machinery, and facility upgrades.
- Support commissioning and testing of installed electrical systems.
High Voltage Operations & Power Systems
- Assist in high-voltage switching operations under supervision and approved procedures.
- Operate and monitor generators to ensure continuous power supply during operations.
- Support load management and emergency power restoration activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Adhere strictly to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards promptly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Maintain logs for equipment performance, faults, and service history.
- Provide reports to supervisors on system status and breakdowns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant working experience in electrical maintenance or industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring standards, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with generator operations and high-voltage systems.
Salary Range: GHC 2,500 – GHC 3,500 (Monthly)
