Position: Welder

Job Summary:
The Welder will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work on plant equipment, structures, machinery, and related components while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication using appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Inspect welded joints and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
• Repair and maintain metal structures, machinery, pipes, and equipment.
• Prepare materials and work areas before welding.
• Operate welding equipment safely and responsibly.
• Identify welding defects and carry out necessary corrections.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Relevant certificate or trade qualification in welding/fabrication.
• Proven welding experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of different welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Physically fit and able to work in a demanding industrial environment.
