Transport Manager – Durban, KZN

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections, proven experience working with third‑party road transport providers, and the ability to match the right transport solution to the right cargo.

Responsibilities

• Source, onboard, and manage third‑party transport suppliers.

• Use industry networks to secure reliable and cost‑effective transport capacity.

• Assess cargo requirements and allocate suitable vehicle types (tautliner, flatbed, refrigerated, abnormal, etc.).

• Negotiate rates and service agreements with transport partners.

• Oversee daily transport planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and safety standards.

• Resolve operational issues and monitor transporter performance.
