DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Connectivity Adoption & Supplier Enablement
-Drive the expansion of API connectivity across all relevant contracted suppliers
-Identify and prioritise suppliers for connectivity based on volume, strategic importance, and product type
-Proactively engage suppliers to motivate API adoption and align on connectivity expectations
-Work with Contracts Managers to embed connectivity expectations into supplier negotiations
API Strategy, Governance & Advocacy
-Define and communicate a clear API and connectivity strategy across the business
-Act as the internal subject matter expert on API, BAR pricing, and distribution trends
-Educate and influence stakeholders on the commercial importance of connectivity
Systems Development & Enhancement
-Identify gaps in system capability and workflows related to connectivity
-Work with Systems and IT teams to define and prioritise API-related enhancements
-Champion system improvements to support dynamic pricing and reduce manual intervention
-Operations Alignment & Adoption
-Ensure Reservations and Operations teams are aligned to the connectivity strategy
-Drive adoption of API-connected product through workflow alignment
-Identify and resolve friction points impacting connectivity utilisation
Training & Capability Development
-Identify training gaps across Commercial, Systems and Reservations teams
-Develop and implement training to improve API understanding and system usage
-Embed best practices across the organisation
Performance & Commercial Optimisation
-Monitor and resolve rate parity issues
-Drive supplier accountability for availability accuracy and rate integrity
-Identify lost revenue opportunities from connectivity gaps
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-Travel and Tourism or Business qualification will be an advantage
-3 – 5 years of Experience in a DMC, Tour Operator or Distribution related role
-Strong working Knowledge of Tour plan or equivalent
