Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Cambridge Checkpoint, Cambridge IGCSE, WAEC, and NERDC/BECE curricula.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations, including Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, WAEC, and BECE.
  • Deliver holiday lessons, weekend tutorials, revision classes, and other academic intervention programmes when required.
  • Prepare, administer, mark, and evaluate assessments, assignments, coursework, and examinations.
  • Monitor student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Foster critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and subject mastery.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, moderation exercises, and school-wide academic initiatives.
  • Support relevant co-curricular activities, including subject clubs, competitions, debates, STEM programmes, literary activities, creative arts, or faith-based programmes, as applicable.
  • Supervise practical or studio sessions where applicable, ensuring the safe use of equipment and learning resources.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to students' pastoral care and overall development.
  • Uphold the school's values, safeguarding policies, and high academic standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (a Master's degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' teaching experience.
  • Proven experience teaching the Cambridge Checkpoint, Cambridge IGCSE, WAEC, and NERDC/BECE curricula.
  • Previous teaching experience in an international school is mandatory.
  • Demonstrable success in preparing students for external examinations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong classroom management, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring secondary school students.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Benefits:
  • Remuneration: NGN 300,000 - 400,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
