This is an exciting opportunity for a talented culinary professional to join a high-end safari lodge, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen operations. ? Package ? Salary: R15,000 per month ? Live-in position ? Key Responsibilities • Assist the Head Chef with the daily management of the kitchen • Prepare and present high-quality meals to luxury hospitality standards • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff during service • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen cleanliness • Assist with menu preparation and daily mise en place • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control • Minimise food waste while maintaining quality standards • Cater for dietary requirements and special guest requests • Ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation at all times ✅ Requirements • Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a luxury lodge, hotel or fine dining environment • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for high-quality cuisine • Strong leadership and team management abilities • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations • Experience with stock control and kitchen administration • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Passion for creating exceptional guest dining experiences ✨ Candidate Profile • Creative and passionate about food • Positive, hands-on and team-oriented approach • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn • Professional and reliable • Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills Please note that only candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted.
