SENIOR INFORMAL TRADE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Regional FMCG Sales

LOCATION: Alberton (Gauteng, North West and Mpumalanga territory)
SALARY: R35,000 to R45,000 per month
VEHICLE: Own reliable vehicle is compulsory

A growing FMCG manufacturer and distributor is looking for a high-performing Senior Informal Trade Sales Representative to establish and grow a large regional territory. The successful candidate must be able to open new accounts, build wholesale relationships and create sustainable informal trade growth.

Key responsibilities
Develop the informal trade customer base across the assigned territory. Open and grow relationships with wholesalers, cash and carries and independent retailers. Identify new distribution and route-to-market opportunities. Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions and volume opportunities. Build relationships with decision-makers and develop an effective territory strategy. Achieve sales, distribution and new-account targets and provide accurate forecasts. Support the future development of junior sales representatives where required.

Minimum requirements
Strong FMCG sales experience within informal trade. A proven record of opening new accounts and growing regional sales. Established relationships within informal trade, wholesale or independent retail channels. Experience managing a large territory, with strong commercial, negotiation and customer-development skills. Own reliable vehicle, valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively. Ability to work independently and take ownership of regional performance.

General FMCG experience without substantial informal trade exposure will not be considered sufficient.

Remuneration
Basic salary of R35,000 to R45,000 per month. Fuel paid by the company. Commission earned from rand one.
