Wine Estate in the Helderberg Mountain near Stellenbosch is looking for a Senior Front of House Manager. The candidate should be well-spoken; well-presented and passionate about hospitality, as well as be disciplined; hardworking, technically focused and task orientated who can work at a high pace in a predictable manner with great attention to detail . You will be responsible for creating and implementing a continuous waiter training schedule ; as well as identifying and implementing important restaurant and service procedures. Duties: Assist in all areas where needed Checking that all duties have been completed by floor staff. Conduct staff performance evaluations Daily Cash-up Deal with customers, compliments and complaints, follow up etc. Implement and follow the rules of the company Maintain and sustain top service levels Maintain dress code standards Manage a large staff complement Opening and closing duties Present a positive image of the company Requirements: Grade 12 Post-matric qualification is advantageous At least 3 years of senior experience in a high-end restaurant environment Good knowledge of duties and procedures in a restaurant environment. Computer knowledge Knowledge of restaurant software Experience in large restaurants is beneficial Must have fine-dining / high end restaurant experience Excellent wine knowledge will be an advantage
