Job Summary: To effectively manage and coordinate the organization's fleet operations, ensuring that all vehicles are utilized efficiently, maintained properly, operated safely, and comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Senior Fleet Officer is responsible for optimizing fleet performance, controlling operational costs, ensuring vehicle availability, and supporting business operations through efficient transportation services.

Key Responsibility

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the daily operation and utilization of the organization's fleet. 

  • Ensure vehicles are assigned and utilized efficiently to meet operational requirements. 

  • Monitor vehicle movements and maintain accurate fleet records. 

  • Optimize fleet deployment to maximize efficiency and minimize operational downtime. 

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles. 

  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. 

  • Monitor vehicle condition and ensure timely corrective actions are taken. 

  • Maintain maintenance histories and service records for all vehicles. 

  • Monitor fuel consumption and analyze fuel efficiency trends.

  • Implement measures to control fuel usage and reduce operational costs. Verify fuel reports and investigate unusual fuel consumption patterns. Monitor fleet-related expenditures and recommend cost-saving initiatives. Ensure all vehicles have valid registrations, licenses, insurance policies, and inspection certificates. 

  • Maintain updated fleet documentation and records. Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies. Coordinate timely renewal of vehicle-related licenses and permits. Monitor driver performance and compliance with driving regulations. 

  • Coordinate driver training programs on road safety and defensive driving practices. 

  • Investigate vehicle accidents, incidents, and traffic violations and recommend corrective measures. 

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to fleet safety standards.
