About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Cross Border Logistics Controller to oversee complex cross-border transport operations across Southern Africa. This role requires a strong operational leader capable of managing high-volume fleets, mentoring logistics controllers, optimising fleet performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to key customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage end-to-end cross-border transport operations.
· Lead and mentor a team of Logistics Controllers.
· Monitor fleet performance, productivity, and profitability.
· Oversee route planning and vehicle scheduling.
· Manage customer relationships and service delivery standards.
· Ensure compliance with customs regulations and transport legislation.
· Coordinate with clearing agents, border authorities, and service providers.
· Analyse operational data and implement process improvements.
· Investigate and resolve operational incidents and delays.
· Prepare operational reports and KPI dashboards for management.
· Manage escalated customer queries and service issues.
· Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and SOPs.
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12 / Matric.
· Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or related field.
· 5–10 years' experience in cross-border transport operations.
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or senior logistics role.
· Strong understanding of SADC cross-border transport requirements.
· Proven experience managing fleets, drivers, and operational teams.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with transport management and fleet tracking systems.
· Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
