Saint Louis High School, a reputable private secondary school located in Dedza District, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of School Nurse.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a Diploma in Nursing. Those with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing will have an added advantage.
• Be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi.
• Have knowledge of School Health and Nutrition (SHN).
• Have knowledge of Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS).
• Have experience in a similar position (added advantage).
• Be of high integrity, honest and self-motivated.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should be aged 27 years and above.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing first aid and basic health care services to students and staff.
• Conducting health assessments and maintaining students health records.
• Developing and implementing care plans for students chronic or acute health conditions.
• Administering medication and monitoring delegated medication administration.
• Coordinating school health screening programs.
• Promoting school health education and disease prevention among students and staff.
• Working closely with teachers, parents and health facilities to ensure students well-being.
• Performing any other health-related duties assigned by management.
