Our client in the hardware industry in Bloemfontein is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting products, and supporting daily store operations. We are looking for an honest, trustworthy, reliable, and punctual individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate should be committed to delivering outstanding service, maintaining high levels of integrity, and contributing positively to a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in hardware sales or a related environment will be advantageous.

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience - within a hardware industry, will be advantageous
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English – Sotho will be beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Willing to work Saturdays

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with enquiries, product selection, and sales transactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Receive, inspect, and unpack incoming stock and ensure that all deliveries are accurate and correctly recorded
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and inventory management
  • Cut and duplicate keys accurately according to customer requirements
  • Process cash, card, and account transactions in accordance with company procedures
  • Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Merchandise products and ensure that shelves and displays are neat, organised, and adequately stocked
  • Manage customer complaints and resolve queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with loading and offloading stock when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Promote products and identify opportunities to increase sales and customer retention
  • Perform daily administrative duties and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and provide efficient service to customers
  • Assist with general store operations and perform any other duties as required by management

Remuneration:

R 10 000 – R 12 000 Cost to Company

Work hours:

Monday – Friday: 08h00 – 17h30

Saturdays: 08h00 – 13h30
