About the Role:

• Safety Officer As a Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of all personnel by implementing and monitoring occupational safety policies and procedures.
• Your efforts will help maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations.
• Key Responsibilities for Safety Officer Jobs in Chambishi Develop, implement, and oversee occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure the correct use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all operations.
• Monitor adherence to safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Candidate Requirements Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) certification is advantageous.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) role.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Proven experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Residency within Chambishi, Chingola, Mufulira, Kalulushi, or Kitwe is required.
