Job Title : Quality Controller Clerks X 3 (Fixed term Contract)

Grade : B1

Reports to : Food Safety Specialist

Department : Packing Station

Main purpose of the job

• Visual inspection of Packaging materials against standard specifications and record results.
• Testing of FFS rolls, baler rolls and pre-made bags and record results.
• Report deviations identified on packaging material to all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure approved material is stored correctly.
• Ensure rejected material is covered, stored correctly, and sent to Stores.
• Compile reports on packaging material inspected on monthly basis and send to relevant stakeholders.
• Issue packaging materials to operators and keep a record.
• Conduct quality checks on packing floor for all packing lines.
• Report quality deviations identified to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct stock count on packaging material on weekly basis.
• Conduct any other duties as per instructions from relevant superiors.
• Collect waste data and capture waste generated per shift.
• Escalate issues that are not getting attention to a Packing station standby
• Conduct CCP checks (Metal detector), as per the work instruction.
• Conduct finished product checks as per work instruction.
• Assist in customer complaints and internal NCRs investigations.
• Support traceability process.
• Conduct QFS toolbox talks to drive QFS culture for shifts.
• Conduct weekly GMPs as per checklist.
• Escalate issues that are not getting attention to a Packing station standby on night shifts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matriculation Certification
• Quality and Food Safety qualification will be an added advantage.
• Computer skills/literacy.
• Food Safety/Sugar Manufacturing experience is essential.
• Be flexible to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
