Projects Sales Engineer

In this pivotal role based in Johannesburg South, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end sales cycle for large-scale engineering projects. This involves technical consultations with clients, conducting site measurements, collaborating with design teams to propose optimal storage layouts, and delivering compelling technical presentations to executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical foundation combined with the hunting instinct required to secure new business and manage key accounts.

Education:

• BTech, Advanced Diploma, or BSc in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• A qualification in Project Management or Sales/Marketing will be highly advantageous.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3–5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Representative, or Project Engineer specifically within the structural, warehousing, materials handling, or industrial shelving/racking sectors.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding project sales targets and managing high-value corporate accounts.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and discuss technical structural drawings and layouts.
• Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the regional territory.
