Job Summary

  • The Product Manager will oversee the development, positioning, pricing, profitability, and market growth of Kwati Nigeria Ltd's sugar product portfolio.
  • The role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, managing product lifecycles, driving product innovation, and ensuring products meet customer needs while achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product strategies for sugar products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from development to market launch.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Develop pricing and product positioning strategies.
  • Monitor product performance, sales, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Drive product improvements, packaging innovations, and new product development.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare product performance reports and recommendations.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Food Science, Agribusiness, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 6–10 years' experience in Product Management, Brand Management, Category Management, or Commercial Management.
  • Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, sugar, beverages, or consumer goods industries is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing product portfolios.

Professional Certifications Preferred:

  • Certified Product Manager CPM
  • Project Management Professional PMP
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing CIM
  • Nigerian Institute of Marketing of Nigeria NIMN
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional CSCP

Other Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian FMCG market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide when required.
  • High level of integrity, innovation, and result orientation.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
