About the Process Operator Role The primary responsibility of the Process Operator is to safely operate and maintain packaging equipment, specifically in the filling and labeling process areas, which are critical to cost efficiency and consumer product quality.

This role ensures optimal equipment performance and process effectiveness while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities for Process Operator Jobs in Lusaka Operate manual and automatic packaging machines according to established standards.

Interpret and implement the production plan for each shift to meet operational targets. Monitor production processes continuously and take corrective actions to address any negative trends.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company safety protocols. Complete all required administrative tasks, including operator workstation and team room documentation.

Engage in problem-solving activities using tools such as PIMS, POMS, QFRs, and 5 WHYs to improve process performance. Perform autonomous operations to ensure smooth and efficient packaging processes.

Candidate Profile and Competencies Willingness and ability to work shifts as required. Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, comfortable working in dynamic and unstructured environments.

Ability to manage process areas in alignment with VPO principles and standards. Effective team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Demonstrates initiative, energy, and a proactive approach to work. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Certificate in Production Management, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Technical qualification such as N3 or similar. Minimum of nine months on-the-job training with SKAP completed within 12 months.

Proven experience within a packaging FMCG industry. Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is required.
