Primary School Teachers

Primary school teachers provide a general education to students aged 5 to 11, helping them develop foundational skills across a broad curriculum .

Instructional Planning & Delivery:

• Plan and Deliver Lessons: Prepare daily lesson plans that fit within broad syllabus and curriculum requirements , and teach a wide range of subject areas including English, mathematics, science, and creative arts .
• Use Diverse Teaching Methods: Engage students through creative activities such as art, music, and sport , as well as audio-visual presentations and field trips .
• Implement Classroom Management: Establish and enforce positive classroom management practices to create an effective learning environment .

Student Assessment & Progress Tracking:

• Assess & Evaluate: Administer tests, assign and correct homework, and evaluate students' development, discussing results with parents and school officials .
• Identify Individual Needs: Identify children's individual learning needs and prepare remedial programs for students requiring extra help .
• Prepare Students for Exams: Prepare students for specific examinations and write reports for parents and school officials .

Pastoral Care & Extracurricular Involvement:

• Supervise Students: Perform supervision duties outside the classroom (e.g., playground duty) .
• Support Extracurricular Activities: Assist with organizing sporting activities, excursions, and other extracurricular activities .

Professional Development & Collaboration:

• Professional Development: Undertake professional development to stay current with teaching practices .
• Collaborate: Attend staff meetings and participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops .

Requirements:

• Valid TCZ License (Mandatory)
• Diploma or Degree in Education
• Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners
