Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Policy & Delivery Expert to support the design, coordination, and implementation of strategic energy sector initiatives. The role will focus on strengthening policy development, supporting programme delivery, and facilitating collaboration across government institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of strategic policy and programme initiatives.
  • Contribute to programme planning, implementation frameworks, and delivery approaches.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and coordination across multiple institutions.
  • Produce technical analyses, recommendations, and briefing materials.
  • Support programme monitoring, reporting, and performance management.
  • Contribute to institutional strengthening and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

 

 

Requirements

 

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in policy, advisory, reform, or delivery roles.
  • Experience working with government institutions and development partners.
  • Demonstrated policy drafting and implementation experience.

 

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Energy Policy, Law, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of policy development and programme implementation.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning and delivery processes

 

Other Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement capability.

 

 

Working Arrangement

 

Based full-time in Lilongwe, with periodic travel within Malawi as required.

 

 

Terms of Agreement

  • Start Date: To be confirmed
  • Contracting Period: 12 months
