Employment Information

The Plantation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day plantation operations to ensure optimal crop production, effective workforce management, and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role involves supervising field activities, monitoring crop health, and ensuring efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily plantation activities including planting, weeding, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting.
  • Allocate tasks and supervise field workers to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Monitor crop growth, identify pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and report issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of farm tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on the plantation.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor attendance, farm inputs, yields, and daily activities.
  • Support implementation of best agricultural practices and company standards.
  • Coordinate with the Plantation Manager on work plans, challenges, and performance updates.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, sustainability, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plantation or farm supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of plantation operations and crop management.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate field workers effectively.
  • Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in rural environments.
