JOB PURPOSE: The Marketing and sales representative is responsible for planning, development Implementing, and managing marketing strategies that increase brand visibility, Occupancy rates and revenue for the campsite and Backpackers Dormitory.

The role focusses on attracting local and international travelers, tour groups, backpackers, digital nomads and adventure seekers through effective digital partnerships and on-ground marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual marketing and promotions plan aligned to business goals.
• Identify Target Markets ( Local Tourists, International Backpackers, Campers, Schools tour operations, NGOs, Digital Nomads
• Monitor tourism and travel trends to adjust marketing strategies accordingly
• Coordinate photography, Videos and content for social media and promotional use.
• Manage the marketing budget and ensure cost effective campaigns
• Manage and update the business website, booking platform and social media pages
• Drive online bookings through platforms such as Booking. com, Airbnb and Hostel world.
• Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns
• Respond to online reviews and manage the brand on-line reputation.
• Build and maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operations, corporates, schools, public relations officers and event's organizers
• Develop partnership with tourism boards, festival and adventure organizer groups
• Design special packages (Long stay discounts, group bookings and seasonal promotions
• Plan and promote on-site events (Camping, Cultural nights, Music events.)
• Work closely with staff to ensure marketing promises match guest experience
• Collect and analyze data on occupancy rates, Guest demographics and booking sources.
• Track campaign performance and prepare quarterly marketing reports.
• Provide recommendation for increasing occupancy and revenue
• The job holder is expected to perform all related activities that promote productivity and the image of the buisness.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or related field
• Minimum 2-5 years in experience in marketing, preferably in hospitality, or travel and tourism
• An understanding of digital marketing and online booking platforms.
