Job Details
  • Analyse tender documentation by reviewing client technical specifications, ITT Invitation to Tender packages, and project constraints
  • Responsible for overseeing the installation of structures and equipment involving the use of specialized vessels, cranes, and other equipment to transport and install components in the offshore environment
  • Develop and review detailed installation procedures, method statements, and risk assessments for subsea structures, jackets, topsides, pipelines, flexible risers, umbilicals, moorings, and other marine assets
  • Define lifting and rigging plans, sea fastening arrangements, and load-out strategies
  • Develop detailed lift plans and job safety analyses for heavy lifts, load-outs, sea-fastening, and pipelay operations
  • Define installation methodologies through developing detailed installation concepts, sequences, and procedures for heavy lifts, jacket upending, subsea tie-ins and installation equipment spread such as vessels, laybarge, offshore cranes, e.t.c
  • Vessel selection by determining the required marine spreads, including Heavy Lift Vessels HLVs, pipelay barges, diving support vessels DSVs, and anchor handling tugs AHTS
  • Provide required input to foster schedule development by drafting detailed and realistic schedules for the offshore installation works taking into consideration factors such as weather windows, vessel availability, port logistics, and site conditions
  • Prepare and submit installation technical queries to the client during the bid phase as may be required
  • Liaise with in-house structural and pipeline engineering teams as well as marine asset team to validate installation analyses
  • Upon winning of tender, successfully transition the installation methodology and risk registers to the project execution team
  • Support engineering of temporary works, including grillages, support frames, and installation aids.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables including installation drawings, technical notes, and interface documents
  • Review engineering design deliverables e.g., structural drawings, hydrodynamic/lifting analyses to ensure the proposed methods are practical for applicable marine vessels
  • Manage interface specifications between fabrication yards, marine transport vessels, and offshore installation platforms/structures
  • Coordinate with the planning, procurement, and subcontracts departments to ensure materials and heavy equipment cranes, rigging gear, e.t.c are delivered to the site on time
  • Participate in Hazard Identification HAZID and Hazard and Operability HAZOP and Constructability review workshops as may be required
  • Enforce strict Safety, Security, Health, and Environment policies during all marine and offshore installation operations
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers involved in fabrication, transport, and offshore worksCoordinate Simultaneous Operations SIMOPS matrices to prevent clashes between multiple contractors and heavy lifts
  • Visit fabrication yards and offshore sites to supervise heavy lifting, load-outs, and installation works
  • Provide support to Factory Acceptance Tests FAT and System Integration Tests SIT prior to equipment deployment
  • Providing on-site, vessel-based engineering support during mobilization, transportation, and subsea deployment
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry codes DNV, API, e.t.c, and Employer standards
