Job Details

Duties include:

  • Provide technical diagnosis and fault evaluation across dealer and internal vehicles, ensuring accurate identification of mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Compile detailed technical and failure analysis reports, including warranty-claimed components and FTIR-related findings.
  • Test and evaluate warranty-returned components to determine root cause of failure.
  • Monitor, manage, and escalate TAR cases, ensuring timely resolution and submission of monthly TAR summary reports.
  • Deliver on-site technical diagnostic support to dealerships to assist with complex repairs and ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
  • Analyse failure trends and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability and technician capability across the dealer network.
  • Support and deliver technical training and on-the-job coaching to upskill dealership technicians.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of technical training sessions and ensure readiness of service materials.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date technical documentation and reporting records.
  • Collaborate with internal OEM departments to ensure service materials and technical documentation are available for new model launches and updates.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customer service teams where required.
  • Ensure all diagnostic work leads to accurate, cost-effective repair solutions and supports warranty cost control.
  • Promote workshop efficiency and cleanliness through consistent application of 5S principles (Sorting, Simplifying, Sweeping, Standardizing, Sustaining).
Requirements:
  • Completed apprenticeship with a recognised trade test.
  • Additional technical or technological qualification advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of FTIR systems and failure analysis methodologies.
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical ability with experience in reporting, failure analysis, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong initiative, resilience, and problem-solving capability.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel at short notice when required.
