1.0 VICE CHANCELLOR’S DEPARTMENT
Assistant Software Developer (1 position)
Job purpose: To work on the development of in-house built software projects
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
An earned Bachelor’s degree in ICT or IT or Computer Science from a recognized University
At least six months of relevant work experience in a reputable organization.
Quality Assurance Officer (1 position)
Job purpose: To ensure that the University maintains a desired level of quality in both academic and non-academic services it provides to both its internal and external customers.
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
An earned Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance or Business Administration or Public Relations or Education Management or Marketing from a recognised University
An earned Master’s degree in Quality Assurance or Business Administration or Public Relations or Education Management or Marketing from a recognised University
An earned PhD in Quality Assurance or Business Administration or Public Relations or Education Management or Marketing from a recognised University will be an added advantage
A professional training in Quality Assurance of not less than three months
Must be familiar with the higher education landscape and legal framework
Functional computer literacy skills
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
At least two years of experience relevant to the job
A valid practicing license from a relevant regulatory body
2.0 Research Ethics Officer (1 position)
Job purpose: To promote and uphold the highest standards of research integrity and ethics across the University by coordinating, monitoring, and supporting ethical review processes, ensuring compliance with national and institutional research ethics frameworks, and guiding researchers on ethical best practices.
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language
An earned Bachelor’s degree in Law or Philosophy or Research Ethics or Human Research Protection, Public Policy Analysis, Research Administration or Compliance Management from a recognised University
An earned Master’s degree in Law or Philosophy or Research Ethics or Human Research Protection, Public Policy Analysis, Research Administration or Compliance Management from a recognised University

Job purpose: To teach, conduct research, and carry out academic-related responsibilities.
Required:

Lecturer for Banking and Finance (1 position)
Job purpose: To teach, conduct research, and carry out academic-related responsibilities.
Required qualifications:

English Language and Mathematics
An earned Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance with a Merit or better from a reputable and recognized University

REGISTAR’S DEPARTMENT
Security Officer – Operations (1 position)
Job purpose: To ensure security of University properties, staff and students from any harm while on campus. To also ensure that there is no intrusion, theft, tempering or damage in line with service level agreements or agreed standards with outsourced security service providers.
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language
A Diploma in Law or Security Management or Conflict Studies or Public Administration or any Social Science from a recognized College or University
A degree in any of the above disciplines will be an added advantage
Certificate in Police or Military training
Must have at least attained the level of Inspector in the Zambia Police or Lieutenant in the Zambia Army
At least two years of police or military work experience
Functional computer literacy skills
Management Secretary III (1 position)
Job purpose:
To provide high level secretarial and other related services to Senior Officers in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the office
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits or better that must include
English Language
A Diploma in Secretarial or Office Management
An earned degree in Secretarial or Office Management from a recognised University will be an added advantage
Speeds of 80/90 wpm in Shorthand and speeds of 55/65 wpm in Typewriting
Experience in office management skills
High computer literacy skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
At least two years practical work experience in a reputable organization at the level of Personal Assistant
A fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Secretaries
Welder (1 position)
Job purpose: To fabricate, join, repair, and maintain metal structures and components by using appropriate welding techniques while ensuring quality and safety standards within the University.
Required qualifications:
A Grade 12 School Certificate
A Craft Certificate in Welding or Metal Fabrication
Relevant work experience in a reputable organization will be an added advantage.
DEAN OF STUDENT’S DEPARTMENT
Sports and Recreation Officer (1 position)
Job purpose: To plan, coordinate, and promote sports and recreational programmes that enhance student participation, talent development, physical well-being, and the university’s representation in sporting competitions.
Required qualifications:
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language
A Diploma in Sports Management or Physical Education or Sports Science a recognized institution.
An earned Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or Physical Education or Sports Science will be an added advantage
A minimum of two years’ work experience
Functional computer literacy skills
