Available Positions and Key Responsibilities Senior Media Liaison Officer (1 Position) Serve as the primary spokesperson and media contact for the National Assembly.

Develop and execute media relations strategies aligned with communication goals. Coordinate coverage of parliamentary proceedings, committee activities, and official events.

Prepare press releases, advisories, and media statements; organize press conferences and briefings. Monitor media coverage and provide analytical reports.

Manage media accreditation and maintain communication records.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 with five credits including English; Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field; Master’s degree preferred; minimum five years relevant experience with at least two years supervisory; membership in ZIPRAC.

Project Engineer (1 Position) Assist in defining project scopes and conduct site inspections. Liaise with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development on construction projects.

Oversee project implementation ensuring compliance with designs and safety standards. Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and coordinate project meetings.

Manage maintenance activities for Constituency Offices and staff training.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related field; Master’s degree an advantage; minimum two years experience; membership in EIZ or ZIA.
  • Legal Officer (4 Positions) Provide legal advice to management and MPs on parliamentary and administrative matters.
  • Draft and review Bills, Private Members’ Bills, amendments, and legal opinions.
  • Monitor legislation processes and ensure proper enactment of Acts of Parliament.
  • Conduct legal research and support revision of Standing Orders and procedural documents.
  • Prepare legal rulings, attend litigation jointly with Attorney-General’s Chambers, and provide secretarial services to committees.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Diploma in Legislative Drafting; LLB from reputable university; valid Practising Certificate; Advocate of High Court of Zambia; membership in LAZ; minimum three years work experience.
  • Technical Maintenance Officer (1 Position) Perform routine and corrective maintenance on radio equipment and AVR systems.
  • Ensure safety compliance and respond to emergencies as part of the response team.
  • Develop staff training programs and guide contractors on safety practices.
  • Execute plant improvement projects and liaise with team members and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Diploma in Electronics or related field; membership in EIZ; minimum two years experience.
  • Internal Auditor (2 Positions) Conduct pre- and post-audit assignments ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies.
  • Review salaries and allowances for compliance with statutes and conditions of service.
  • Perform special audits as requested and review monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Report findings and recommend improvements to management.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance, or full ACCA, CIMA, CA, or ZICA; Internal Audit Certification preferred; membership in IIA or ZICA; minimum two years experience.
  • Curriculum, Development, Research and Training Officer (1 Position) Assist in developing and updating training curricula and learning materials.
  • Support planning and delivery of professional development programs.
  • Conduct applied research and prepare research outputs for integration into training.
  • Coordinate facilitators and subject-matter experts, and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree in Education, Law, Political Science, Public Policy or related field; minimum three years’ experience in curriculum development or research.
  • Broadcasting Engineer (1 Position) Maintain and troubleshoot radio and television broadcast equipment and infrastructure.
  • Set up studio and digital broadcast technology systems for live and recorded broadcasts.
  • Provide technical assistance for events and manage repairs and servicing of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Physics; membership in EIZ; minimum two years experience.
  • Pharmacist (1 Position) Dispense prescribed medications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, procurement, audits, and maintain compliance with ZAMRA and HPCZ regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of dispensed medications and patient interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; full registration and valid practicing license from HPCZ; membership in the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia; minimum two years experience.
