Available Manufacturing Jobs in Lusaka Electrician (6 Positions) The Electrician will ensure optimal plant operations by installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing electrical machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and test electrical equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance as well as repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement solutions.
• Fabricate and modify electrical components as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and quality control.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and prepare reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Trade Certification or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Strong electrical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit to work at heights and handle heavy equipment.

Preventive Maintenance Supervisor – Boiler & RO (3 Positions) This role involves planning and overseeing maintenance activities for boiler and reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Supervise daily operations of boiler and RO systems, troubleshooting faults.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and performance reports.
• Lead and develop maintenance teams including Boiler Technicians and RO Operators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and costs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3 to 10 years’ experience in boiler and water treatment plant maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of boiler/steam and RO systems, troubleshooting, and leadership.
• Machinist (2 Positions) Responsible for machining, fabricating, and repairing mechanical components to support plant maintenance and spare parts availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lathe, milling, drilling, and other workshop machines in line with HSE standards.
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Fabricate and repair machine parts as requested by maintenance teams.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Craft Certificate in Machining or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a heavy machine shop environment.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fitters (3 Positions) Fitters will install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical repair and maintenance during assigned shifts.
• Maintain standby and auxiliary equipment in good working order.
• Perform preventive and annual maintenance as scheduled.
• Support plant-specific 5S and operational targets.
• Ensure equipment reliability and workplace safety.

Minimum Requirements:

• Mechanical Diploma or relevant technical qualification.
• 1–4 years’ experience in food or related manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience repairing pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and safety procedures.
• Forming Operator (2 Positions) The Forming Operator will operate and monitor forming machines to ensure production of high-quality products that meet exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate forming machines according to SOPs and specifications.
• Regularly check machine settings, molds, and tooling for accuracy.
• Perform in-process quality checks and report defects immediately.
• Ensure finished products meet weight, shape, size, and appearance standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in production engineering or machine operation.
• Ability to follow SOPs and technical instructions accurately.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
