Description: Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Millwright to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical process equipment within a smelter environment to maximise plant reliability, safety and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
Maintain and repair smelter process equipment to maximise plant availability and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and basic instrumentation faults.
Maintain furnaces, pumps, conveyors, cooling systems, boilers and other fixed plant equipment.
Conduct inspections, fault finding and equipment servicing in accordance with maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, permit-to-work systems and statutory requirements.
Participate in risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Complete maintenance reports and provide feedback on equipment performance.
Assist with shutdowns, plant improvements and reliability initiatives.
Maintain high housekeeping and engineering standards.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Millwright Trade Test Certificate
Minimum N3 Certificate in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience as a Millwright within the mining industry
Proven experience within a smelter, foundry or heavy process plant environment.
Experience maintaining furnaces, pumps, conveyors, boilers, cooling towers and similar process equipment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Basic PLC and instrumentation knowledge
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
