The Maintenance Services Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and systems. This role ensures the safe, functional, and efficient operation of the hospital infrastructure, contributing to a secure environment for patients and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Duties:
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building structures (e.g., carpentry, painting).
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment and systems to minimize breakdowns and ensure longevity.
    • Install, inspect, and repair hospital equipment and fixtures as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and building codes during all maintenance work.
    • Assist in the setup and dismantling of equipment for various hospital events or needs.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage and track maintenance supplies and tools.
    • Report major repair needs or equipment malfunctions that require external specialized service.
    • Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption during maintenance work.
  • Other Duties as Required:
    • Participate in emergency response for facility-related incidents.
    • Contribute to maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment.
