Professional Alliance for Development (PADet) is an indigenous, not-for-profit, nongovernmental development and humanitarian organization established in 1998. It has been serving disadvantaged and marginalized segments of the community, especially youth, women, and children in the areas of Health and Nutrition, Child Development & Safeguarding, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment and Livelihood & Food Security for the last 26 years. The interventions include advancing basic education. 

Project Background

The PlayMatters project is planned to be implemented in conflict affected schools and surrounding hosting Community Schools. 

The project aims to improve the holistic learning outcomes and psychosocial well-being of refugees, internally displaced, and host community children. Through child-centered and engaging learning approaches, the project supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and academic development, helping them learn effectively while building resilience and well-being in challenging contexts. Furthermore, the project seeks to sustainably integrate Learning through Play (LtP) as an active teaching and learning methodology within the education system. Working closely with the education offices the PlayMatters project strengthens institutional capacity and promotes the adoption of play-based pedagogies to improve the quality, inclusiveness, and effectiveness of education.

PADet has the following advert to recruit a qualified and competent candidate supporting implementation of the project.

 

Job position summary: 

The MEAL Officer leads monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities to ensure high-quality data, evidence-based decision-making, accountability to stakeholders, and continuous learning throughout project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Monitoring: Develop and implement project monitoring plans, conduct routine field monitoring visits, verify the implementation of project activities, track performance indicators, and monitor the quality and progress of project interventions to ensure they achieve planned results.

Data Management: Maintain and manage the project database, ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of project data through regular data quality assessments (DQAs), analyze project data to generate actionable insights, and produce dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making.

Review and Evaluation: Support the establishment of project baselines and contribute to the continuous tracking and assessment of activity, output, and outcome indicators to measure project performance and inform program improvements.

Accountability: Manage beneficiary and stakeholders feedback and complaint response mechanisms, ensure timely documentation and resolution of complaints, track responses, and promote meaningful community participation to strengthen accountability and transparency.

Learning: Document best practices and lessons learned, prepare case studies, organize learning and knowledge-sharing events, and support adaptive programming by integrating evidence and learning into project implementation.

Reporting: Prepare monthly performance dashboards, produce indicator tracking reports, contribute to donor reporting requirements, and develop presentations that effectively communicate project progress, achievements, and challenges.

Compliance: Ensure full compliance with donor MEAL standards, the PADet MEAL framework, organizational data protection policies, and ethical research standards throughout project implementation and reporting.
