Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily logistics and freight operations.
  • Coordinate import and export shipments from China to Nigeria.
  • Manage express air freight, expedited shipping, and ocean freight operations.
  • Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and clearing agents.
  • Ensure accurate shipping documentation and customs compliance.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve operational challenges promptly.
  • Supervise and support logistics coordinators, dispatch personnel, and customer service staff.
  • Develop and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain operational records, shipment reports, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of an HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, import/export logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, particularly China-to-Nigeria trade routes.
  • Experience with air freight, ocean freight, cargo consolidation, and customs documentation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Applicants residing in Agege, Ogba, Ikeja, Abule Egba, Iju, Ifako, Alimosho, or nearby areas are strongly preferred.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working with international suppliers.
  • Knowledge of import documentation, HS codes, and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with cargo tracking systems and freight management platforms.
  • Experience supervising logistics or operations teams.
