Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking activities.
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen procedures.
- Wash, peel, cut, and portion food items as required
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Wash dishes and ensure proper sanitation standards are maintained.
- Assist with stocking and organising kitchen inventory.
- Ensure food storage areas are properly maintained.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Report equipment faults or kitchen issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE qualification.
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
