The Internship Programme aims to attract talented students and graduates with a specific interest in areas relevant to IOM's programmes.
Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and have less than two years of relevant working experience.
BACKGROUND IOM Botswana works across thematic areas including: - Migration Governance and Policy Development - supporting Botswana in implementing the National Migration Policy - Counter-Trafficking and Protection - strengthening identification, referral and protection mechanisms via rights-based, victim-centred approaches - Migration and Health - integrating health services into migration management and cross-border health cooperation - Labour Mobility and Ethical Recruitment - skills mobility, diaspora engagement, responsible recruitment - Climate Change and Human Mobility (current active project - the intern will support implementation, management and reporting) The Intern will support the Project Support Unit (PSU) in strengthening IOM Botswana's project portfolio through research, partnerships, design, development, stakeholder liaison and resource mobilization.
Particular attention to private sector partnerships and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Supervision: Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Project Support Associate (Project Support Unit).
