Our client is looking for an Installation Electrician (3-Phase) to join their team in Cape Town, WC. The ideal candidate will have experience in the solar industry and a hands-on approach to electrical work. This role involves conducting inspections, issuing Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and ensuring installations meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on inspections of solar electrical installations and issue COCs upon compliance.
- Identify and address electrical issues on-site, providing immediate fixes where possible.
- Provide feedback to the Project Manager on site issues and suggest solutions.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to schedule return visits for unresolved issues requiring additional work.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspections and work performed.
- Assist installation teams with troubleshooting and guidance where necessary.
Requirements:
- Valid Wireman’s License.
- Registered as an Electrical Contractor with the Department of Labour.
- Experience working with solar PV systems and 3-phase electrical installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Valid driver's license.
