Job Summary

  • We are a leading polythene manufacturing company seeking an experienced and result-oriented Human Resources Manager to lead our HR operations and support our growing workforce.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing HR functions in a manufacturing environment, particularly with a large casual workforce, and be available to resume immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, and exit processes.
  • Supervise employee attendance, absenteeism, leave administration, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, conflict resolution, and welfare matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Oversee performance management, staff appraisals, and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, manpower analysis, and management reports.
  • Liaise with government agencies and other regulatory bodies on HR-related matters.
  • Drive employee engagement, productivity, and organizational culture.
  • Support management in workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Ensure proper administration of casual and permanent employees.
  • Lead HR audits and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce effectively.
  • Must be available for immediate resumption.
