Job Purpose
The Human Resource & Administration Manager will be responsible for leading the people management, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, administration, compliance, and workplace culture functions of MBL Holdings Limited.
In the modern workplace, HR is not only about hiring and filing documents. The HR & Administration Manager must build a disciplined, productive, compliant, and performance-driven workforce while supporting digital HR records, employee development, labour law compliance, staff welfare, and organizational growth across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, and placement of employees.
Oversee office administration, facilities management, office supplies, company documents, licenses, and general support services.
Work closely with branch managers and department heads to identify staffing needs and improve team performance.
Promote a workplace culture based on discipline, accountability, respect, teamwork, and productivity.
Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate staff information, attendance, leave, and deductions are submitted on time.
Handle confidential HR and administrative matters with professionalism and discretion.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
Professional HR certification or membership with a recognized HR body will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Malawi labour laws, employment practices, HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and modern HR systems.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resource management and administration.
At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial HR role is preferred.
Experience in a group company, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, retail, construction, or multibranch business will be an advantage.
