Ensure compliance with the
Occupational Safety and Health Act and other applicable regulations.
Conduct workplace inspections
and risk assessments
Ensure company dormitories
comply with health, safety, hygiene, and fire safety requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of
dormitories and recommend corrective actions where required.
Assist in maintaining
compliance with Lodging Accommodation Permit (LAP) requirements and
support the preparation of documentation for permit applications.
Investigate accidents,
incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
Organize and participate in
Health & Safety Committee meetings.
Monitor the implementation of
safety procedures and safe working practices.
Conduct employee Health &
Safety inductions and awareness sessions.
Organize emergency drills and
ensure emergency equipment is properly maintained.
Maintain Health & Safety
records, reports, statutory documentation, and dormitory inspection
records.
Advise management on safety
improvements and preventive measures.
Follow up on corrective actions
identified during inspections, audits, or incident investigations.
Promote a strong safety culture
across the company.
Prepare monthly Health &
Safety reports for management.
Liaise with relevant
authorities during inspections relating to Occupational Safety &
Health and Lodging Accommodation Permits.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Occupational Health
and Safety Officer
Degree in Occupational Safety
and Health
Minimum 3 years' experience in
a Health & Safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
