Group Facilities Manager - 5* Boutique Hotel Group - Cape Town Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an experienced and technically strong Group Facilities Manager for a prestigious luxury hospitality group with three 5* properties across the Western Cape. Based primarily at their Head Office in Constantia, this senior role carries full oversight of engineering, maintenance, facilities and infrastructure operations across the group's portfolio. You will be the person who keeps world-class properties running seamlessly behind the scenes - managing teams, contractors, budgets and compliance across multiple sites. Please note: Candidates must be based in Cape Town. Travel across Western Cape properties is a regular requirement of this role. Live-out position. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' senior management experience in multi-site facilities or engineering - essential Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - essential Proven experience in a luxury hospitality multi-property environment - essential Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC systems Solid project management capability Sound understanding of OHS Act, fire codes and environmental compliance requirements Experience managing statutory inspections and certifications Strong contractor and service provider negotiation skills Budget management experience including asset registers and long-term improvement planning Computer literate with solid administrative ability Valid South African driver's license Willing to work shifts and respond to operational requirements as needed Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: ? Operations & Maintenance Oversee all maintenance and engineering operations across the group's properties Develop; implement and monitor maintenance procedures and preventative schedules Conduct regular property inspections and drive timely resolution of issues Ensure optimal performance of all mechanical systems to minimise downtime ?️ Projects & Contractors Negotiate with contractors and service providers on renovations, refurbishments and new builds Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the required standard Maintain effective working relationships with all external service providers ? Financial & Asset Management Develop and manage operational budgets across all properties Maintain accurate asset registers and long-term improvement project plans Monitor and reduce utility consumption through targeted efficiency programmes ⚖️ Compliance Ensure all properties comply with the OHS Act, fire codes and environmental standards Manage all statutory inspections and certification requirements ?
