We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and people-focused Fundraiser to join a dynamic, high-performing team that supports the organisation’s ongoing operations. While operational teams focus on critical work in the field, this role is essential in securing continued funding through direct, face-to-face engagement with members of the public.

The purpose of this role is to raise awareness and secure donations through in-person engagement at various venues across Cape Town. You will build meaningful connections with potential donors and inspire ongoing support for a critical cause.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential donors face-to-face at public venues and locations

  • Promote and encourage participation in fundraising initiatives and donation programmes

  • Build rapport and establish long-term donor relationships

  • Follow up on donor pledges and commitments

  • Handle queries, objections, and concerns professionally to maintain brand reputation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records

  • Consistently meet or exceed daily and monthly performance targets

  • Represent and uphold the brand positively at all times

Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric (or equivalent)

  • 1–2 years’ experience in face-to-face sales, fundraising, or customer-facing roles

  • Fundraising experience advantageous

  • Strong English communication skills (additional languages beneficial)

  • Results-driven with a strong sales mindset

  • Resilient, persistent, and able to handle rejection professionally

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills

  • Strong time management and organisational abilities

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and a strong team player

  • Well-presented with a professional appearance

  • Own reliable transport essential

  • Willing and able to travel regularly
