Fundraiser

Role Description

• The Fundraiser role is a remote role focused on supporting the foundation’s efforts to secure financial resources for its programs. On a day-to-day basis, the Fundraiser will research potential donors, sponsors, and partners, and assist in drafting outreach messages and proposals. The role includes helping organize online fundraising campaigns, supporting social media and email-based appeals, and maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and contributions. The intern will collaborate with team members to develop creative fundraising ideas, prepare simple reports on campaign performance, and contribute to engaging content that highlights the foundation’s impact.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, persuasive messages for diverse audiences.
• Candidates should possess basic research and organizational skills, including the ability to gather donor information, manage data, and track fundraising activities accurately.
• Candidates should possess interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, such as engaging donors respectfully, practicing active listening, and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Candidates should possess digital literacy skills, including familiarity with email tools, social media platforms, and basic office software e.g., word processing and spreadsheets.
• Candidates should possess a strong interest in nonprofit work, empathy for communities in need, and a commitment to ethical and transparent fundraising practices.
• Relevant coursework or experience in fundraising, communications, marketing, or social impact fields is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities is important for success in this internship.
