Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures.
• Assist with audit processes and statutory reporting requirements.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to support business performance.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function.

Requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Essential

• Immediately available or available on short notice.
• Able to commit to a 12–18 month fixed-term contract.
• Based in Cape Town or able to commute to the City Bowl.
