Financial Accountant | Telecommunications

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare VAT, tax, and other statutory submissions.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management.
• Assist with process improvements and finance-related projects.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting or related finance qualification.
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles (highly advantageous).
• Approximately 5 years post-article accounting experience.
• Experience within the telecommunications, technology, ICT, or related industry will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working on ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
