Minimum Requirements:
- BCom Accounting degree or National Diploma in Accounting/Finance
- 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience
- Experience within the Hospitality industry is highly advantageous (Property industry experience will also be considered)
- Strong understanding of:
- VAT and Tax compliance
- Journal processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Financial reporting
- Audit preparation and support
- IFRS standards
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process financial journals and month-end activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Manage VAT and tax-related reconciliations and submissions
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company financial policies
- Assist with procurement accounting and financial reporting
- Analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and controls
