Our client, a growing organisation within the IT industry, is seeking a Finance Manager / Accountant to join their vibrant and dynamic team on a fixed-term contract of 3–6 months.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced finance professional who is excited by the challenge of implementing robust internal controls, streamlining systems and processes, leveraging AI technologies, and enhancing overall business efficiency. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening financial governance while supporting strategic decision-making and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full finance function and oversee daily financial operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Review, document, and streamline financial and operational processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and business operations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Oversee and improve debit order systems and related financial controls.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to enhance business processes, automate workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with key stakeholders to implement best-practice systems and operational efficiencies.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• B.Com Degree in Accounting or related qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' finance/accounting experience
• Previous experience within the IT industry is essential
• Proven management experience
• Strong experience with Sage Online, QuickBooks, and Xero
• Experience working with debit order systems
• Sound budgeting and forecasting experience
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve business processes and operational efficiencies
• Strong process improvement and internal controls experience
• Proactive, innovative, and solutions-driven mindset
